This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our mobile application Vis and our web platform Vis Pro (together, the “Services”). We do not sell or rent your personal data.
3. Information We Collect
3.1 Information You Provide
- Account Information (Vis Pro): Email, name, and password to create and manage your account.
- Payment Information: Payments are processed by trusted providers (e.g., Stripe for Vis Pro, Apple for in-app purchases). We do not store your full payment details.
- Fitness Information (Vis app): Optional age, biological sex, height, and weight to improve metrics like calorie estimates. This remains on your device unless you choose to sync with Vis Pro.
3.2 Data Generated by Your Use
- Workout Data: Workout history and performance metrics are stored on your device. If you enable sync with Vis Pro, this data is securely transmitted to our cloud so you can access it across devices.
- Cookies (Vis Pro): We use cookies only to keep you logged in. We do not use cookies for advertising, analytics, or cross-site tracking.
4. How We Use Information
- Provide, operate, and maintain Vis and Vis Pro.
- Offer features like accurate calorie estimates and program tools.
- Sync your workouts and program data across devices (if you choose to sync).
- Process payments and manage subscriptions (via Stripe or Apple).
- Communicate about your account, updates, and support.
We do not share your personal data with advertisers or sell your data.
5. Where We Store Data & Security
- On-Device: By default, your workout and fitness data stays on your device.
- Cloud Sync (optional): If enabled, synced data is stored in the United States on servers hosted by Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Safeguards: We use technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.
6. Your Choices & Rights
- Deletion (Vis Pro): You can delete your account and associated data using the in-product delete option.
- Local Data (Vis app): If you do not sync with Vis Pro, your data never leaves your device. You can delete it by removing the app or using in-app options if available.
- Cookies: You may disable cookies in your browser, but doing so may sign you out of Vis Pro and limit functionality.
7. Children’s Privacy
Our Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will promptly delete it.
8. Third Parties & Service Providers
- Payments: Stripe (Vis Pro) and Apple (in-app purchases) process payments on our behalf.
- Infrastructure: AWS provides hosting. We do not use third-party analytics, advertising, or cross-site tracking tools.
We require service providers to handle data in accordance with applicable laws and only for the purposes we specify.
9. International Users
We primarily serve users in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the U.S., you understand your information may be processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country. We strive to apply protective measures appropriate to the data we handle.
