  • What is Vis?

    Vis is a next-generation fitness app that lets you follow, customize, and build workout programs with unmatched flexibility. From proven programs like 5/3/1 to exclusive options like Aligned, Vis is the result of hundreds of hours of research, creating an experience tailored to the way athletes actually train.

  • Who is Vis for?

    Vis is for people of all fitness levels. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced lifter, there's a program for you.

  • Does Vis require a subscription?

    No. Vis is free to use and includes a variety of free programs. Premium programs can be purchased individually, in bundles or unlocked through a subscription.

  • How is Vis different from other fitness apps?

    Vis is built around how people actually train. Its interface prioritizes clarity and usability over clutter — no endless spreadsheets or confusing menus. And unlike most fitness apps, Vis doesn't lock you into a subscription. You can purchase only the programs you want, or use many for free.

  • Does Vis work offline?

    Yes. Vis is designed to be "local-first" and works just as well with or without an internet connection.

  • Is Vis available on iPhone?

    Yes, Vis is available for iPhone.

  • I found a bug. Who do I contact?

Purchases

  • I purchased a program by accident, how can I be reimbursed?

    Go to the "Purchase" page and tap "Refund" on your purchase.

  • What is included in the Founder Edition subscription?

    The Founder Edition subscription grants you full access to all workout and programs on Vis. It will also grant you discounted full access to Vis Pro, with feature such as a custom program builder, once released.

  • I purchased a bundle and additional content has been added to it. Do I automatically have access to this content?

    Yes! If you've purchased a bundle you automatically gain access to new content we add to it.

  • I just changed devices. How can I access the programs I've previously purchased.

    Try to purchase the program again, scroll down and press the "Restore Purchase" button.

  • I already bought some programs that belong in a bundle. Can I get a discount.

    You can go to the “Purchase” page in Settings and apply for a reimbursement for the program you initially bought.

  • Why do some settings in 5/3/1 require me to purchase the program?

    We offer 5/3/1 as a freemium program. The program is free to use in some configurations, but advanced settings require you to purchase the program.

Workout

  • Can I change the number of reps and the weight of a set while working out?

    If it's controlled by one of the workout's parameter, yes. However, we don't currently support changing a set's weight on the fly, but if that's of interest to you, send us an email at [email protected].

  • The machine I need to use for my set is occupied. Can I reorder my workout?

    Yes! Press the "..." button, then tap the "View/Edit Workout" button. On the presented sheet, tap the up/down arrow button. You'll now be able to reorder the blocks by grabbing their handle.

  • Can I add an extra set to my workout?

    We don't currently support manually adding sets to a workout. If that's of interest to you, send us an email at [email protected].

  • I just marked my set as done, by accident. How can I undo this?

    Press the “…” button, then tap the “Undo” button. Or shake your device and press the undo button that appears.

  • How do I use Siri to control my workout?

    First, make sure you have the required Shortcut installed. Go to the app settings, tap "Complete Set Shortcut" and then tap "Add Shortcut". You'll now be able go to the next set by saying "Hey Siri, Complete Set". Keep in mind that Siri doesn't always hear you very well, especially in loud environments.

  • Why do I have to add a Shortcut to use Siri?

    Without this Shortcut, you would have needed to say the name of the app in the command. For example: "Hey Siri, Complete Set in Vis". We found the rate of Siri successfully understanding this command to be much lower. By adding a Shortcut we can make the command much smaller and even allow you to change it.

  • What programs are available in Vis?

    We’re constantly adding more programs to Vis. As of October 20th 2025, the available programs are: 5/3/1; 5/3/1 Full Body; 5/3/1 Two Days Per Week; Aligned; Gab’s Fit Dad Program; Krypteia; Muscle Group Split (Bro Split); and Path to 100.

  • How often are new workouts and programs added to Vis.

    We're aiming to add content on a weekly basis. Follow us on social media to be notified first!

  • Can you add the following program to Vis?

    We're always looking for suggestions for new content to add to Vis. If you want a certain program added, we'd love to hear from you. Send us an email at [email protected].

  • Can you add the following parameter to program X?

    Potentially. Send us an email at [email protected].

  • Can I create my own workouts and programs in Vis?

    Soon. We're currently testing this feature in a closed beta program. Please reach out to [email protected] if you're interested in joining.

Privacy

  • Why does Vis request access to my age, weight, height and biological sex from Apple Health?

    We use this information to more accurately compute the calories spent for each exercise. We never share this information with anyone. If you decide not to share this information, Vis uses default values for these instead.

  • Does Vis sell my data?

    No. Privacy is a core value at Vis. We do not and will never sell your data.

  • Will Vis ever use my data to target ads to me?

    No. Vis will never use your personal data to target ads to you.

  • Why doesn't Vis show a pop-up asking me to accept cookies?

    Because we don't use tracking cookies. The only cookies we use are to keep you logged in to Vis Pro.
