If you’re using ChatGPT to generate your workouts, this one is for you.
Just like spreadsheets aren’t the right tool to track your workouts in the gym, neither are AI chatbots. We’re seeing this more and more in the gym: people following their workout plan straight from ChatGPT. And we get it: ChatGPT is pretty good at building programs.
But the experience in the gym? Scrolling up and down, up and down, trying to find your next exercise, unable to log your progress. It’s just not built for that.
There needs to be a better way. Something that allows you to keep the power of AI, but pairs it with an experience that is designed for how people work out.
To solve this, we’ve built Vis Pro MCP (Alpha), a way to connect AI directly to Vis.
With Vis Pro MCP, you can use your AI agent of choice to interact with Vis Pro and create or modify workout programs on your behalf. Those programs are then automatically sent to your device, ready to use in the gym.
You can also view the resulting program here.
For now, the MCP only supports reading and writing elements from your library. Scheduling and tweaking individual workouts should be coming very soon. This is still early, so a few setup steps are required to try it out.

A New Approach for AI in Fitness
Connecting AI agents to tools like Vis Pro gives you both sides of the experience: a powerful tool to generate complex workouts for you and a refined interface for when you’re actually in the gym.
The example in the demo is simple, but we’ve already found these models useful for generating thoughtful workouts that take injuries into account. They can even look up the literature to justify their programming.
This is an early step toward a different way of using AI in fitness, one where you’re an active participant rather than a passenger.
